While everyone else's games were canceled Thursday, Windsor/Stew-Stras got their game in.

They're glad they did.

The Hatchets softball squad chopped down Villa Grove-Heritage 18-1.

Calla Roney got the win for WSS in the five-inning contest, allowing just two hits and walking two while striking out six.

WSS had plenty of success at the plate. Roney homered and singled and drove in two runs, Carson Cole doubled and singled and had 4 RBI, Becca Schlechte singled and drove in two runs, Taylor Renfro doubled, Mackenzi Tabbert had two hits and drove in a run, Madison Quast singled and drove in three runs, Katie Greuel singled twice and drove in three runs, and Madison Everett drove in two runs.
