LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville) played host to Jasper County and edged the visitors 3-2 in junior high school softball competition Wednesday.
The score was tied at 1-1 in the second. North Clay moved ahead with a run in the fourth but Jasper County tied the score in the fifth. North Clay then tallied the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Bible and Ingram had two singles each for the winners. Ingram drove in a run.
Jasper County was led by Garrett with a single, home run and an RBI and Gilbert with two singles and an RBI.

At Mulberry Grove
St. Elmo/Brownstown dropped an 11-6 decision to Mulberry Grove Wednesday. Mulberry Grove leaped out to a 7-0 first inning lead and had the game under control the rest of the way.
"We had trouble again tonight getting out of the gate," said SEB Coach Tom Fedrigon. "After the first inning we played a very good game but had a big two out error in the first and some mental mistakes that led to seven Mulberry Grove runs."
SEB drops to 4-9 on the season.
