Casey-Westfield pushed ahead with three runs in the fourth and went on for a 10-5 win over Effingham in junior high softball action Thursday.
Casey-Westfield had a run in the first and two in the top of the third. The Mustangs came back with a four run bottom of the third to take the lead. But C-W tallied three in the fourth and three in the fifth.
Makayla Allie and Jaelyn Boone had a triple each for the Mustangs. Allie had two RBI.
At Effingham

At Beecher City
Effingham St. Anthony had nine hits in taking a 9-6 win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick.
BCCH edged out to a 2-0 first ininng lead before St. Anthony tied in the second. BCCH took a 5-4 lead in the third. The Bullpups then rallied with a six-run fourth.
Coffin and Grubb had a single, double and an RBI each for the winners. Ritz had two singles and an RBI.
BCCH was led by Mykaela Dye with a double and two RBI. BCCH drops to 2-10 on the season.
At Beecher City

St. Elmo/Brownstown took a 6-1 lead in the second inning before finishing out with a 13-3 win over Okaw Valley.
Natalie Oberlink pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts to improve to 2-8 on the season. Cassidy Moss had three singles and two RBI while Kaelyn Fedrigon had a single, double and three RBI and Makenzie Walk a double.
"We played tonight like we are capable of playing," said SEB Coach Tom Fedrigon. "Our defense was rock solid with only one error but the defensive story of the night was Natalie Oberlink spinning a no-hitter. She was sharp when she needed to be and bounced back after issuing walks. Cassidy Moss did an outstanding job in right field, making an assist at first base and Emma Gathe just keeps getter better and better at shortstop."
SEB improves to 2-8 on the season.

Altamont improved its record to 6-10 with a 7-3 win over Ramsey. Altamont tallied single runs in the first, second and sixth and two in the fourth and seventh.
Altamont had four hits, all singles by Taylor Mette, Olivia Eckhardt, Kylee Schultz and Kassidy Pemberton. Eckhardt added an RBI.
