Junior High School Softball -- August 12

Effingham Junior High School handed Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor an 11-1 loss in girls softball action Wednesday in five innings.

The Mustangs stepped out to a 3-1 first inning lead then had a five-run third and a three-run fifth. Morgan Krouse had a single, double and drove in four runs for the winners. Emma Budde had a single and triple while Makayla Allie had a triple and an RBI. McKenzie Wittenberg added three singles.

Rentfro had a double for SSW. Jaelyn Boone picked up the three-hit pitching win. She had three walks and three strikeouts.
