Effingham Flame Has Three Teams In NSA World Series

Effingham Flame girls softball will have three teams participating in the National Softball Association World Series in Hamilton County Indiana the week of July 20-25.

The 8U team finished third at the State Tournament in Peoria, to earn its berth. They finished second in O'Fallon in June.

The 14U also earned a berth in Peoria, finishing in the top four and also finished fourth in the NSA qualifier in Mattoon. This last weekend they finished fifth at Bagelfest

The 16U also qualified this year doing so in their first tournament of the year in Kankakee, finishing in the top three. The 16U have finished in the top three in four of the five tournaments they have played. finishing third in the NSA qualifier in Mattoon, second at the NSA state in Peoria and winning the Charleston Chill qualifier.

14U -- Jaryn Allen, Taylor Armstrong, Abbi Burgess, Lauryn Douthit, Carsyn Fearday, Rachel Forehand, Miranda Fox, Chloe Funneman, Ashlyn Hanks, Taylor Jones, Morgan Krouse, Kaylee Phillips, Vanessa Ramos, Karlee Roepke and Skyler Schafer.

16U -- Grace Amburgey, Aly Armstrong, Morgan Brown, Sidney Brumleve, Jessica Drees, Hannah Dulaney, Ashley Goeckner, Olivia Hickey, Alissa Kersey, Kaylee Tonn, Alexis Sullivan and Jenna Wright.
