Spectrum Screen Graphics took a 1-0 first inning lead and went on to defeat Joe's Pizza & Pasta 9-5 in the first game of the Girls Prep League Softball Tournament Monday at Evergreen Hollow Park.
Spectrum's Taylor Armstrong picked up the pitching win on six-hitter. She also led her team offensively with a single and double. Gracie Hibbetts and Shelby Stone had a double each.
Spectrum will now face Crossroads Bank at 8 p.m. Thursday.
The second game, featuring REMAX and Bahrn's Kubota, was in the third inning when lightning halted the contest. The game will now be played Friday at 5:30 p.m. and pick up in the third inning. Game three will be moved Friday to 6 p.m. with the winner of the REMAX vs. Bahrn's Kubota contest taking on Fonner Oral Surgery. The third game Friday, featuring Crossroads Bank and Spectrum, will now take place at 8 p.m. instead of the 5:30 original time.
