Illinois Coaches Association Announces All-State Teams

The Illinois Coaches Association has announced all-state softball team members.

In 1A, Kyla Thornton of Cumberland received first team honors.

Second team 1A honors went to Audrey Casey and Kaylee Carlen of Cumberland, and Hunter Niebrugge and Jenna Woltman of St. Anthony.

Third team 1A honors went to Paige Koester of St. Anthony.

In 2A, no area players received first team honors.

However, three Teutopolis players...Kadi Borries, Anni Borries and Allison Apke...received second team 2A honors.

Madison Cowman of Teutopolis received third team 2A honors.

Teutopolis coach Rich Niebrugge received Coach of the Year honors in Class 2A for his region.
