Junior High Regional Scores From Wednesday

Regional softball play opened in some areas of the state Wednesday and others were pushed back.
In the Class A St. Elmo Regional, both games were played, although at different locations. Beecher City handed St. Elmo an 11-7 loss.
St. Elmo took a 1-0 lead but Beecher City tallied three in the second and led 8-4 in the top of the sixth. St. Elmo mounted a comeback with three runs in the bottom of the inning to pull within 8-7. But Beecher City came right back with three runs in the seventh for the victory.
Beecher City had six hits led by Felicia Johnson with a single, double and two RBI. St. Elmo had 14 hits in the game led by Parkison with three singles and an RBI.
Beecher City advances to a 10 a.m. meeting Saturday with Altamont.
In the other opening round contest, Findlay Okaw Valley bounced Windsor 17-0. Findlay Okaw Valley will now meet Stewardson-Strasburg Saturday at 11:30 a.m. The winners of Saturday's games advance to the championship Monday.
St. Anthony Regional
The Class A St. Anthony Regional games were postponed. St. Anthony was set to meet Oblong but that contest will now take place today at 4:30 p.m. at Oblong.
Palestine and Paris Crestwood were supposed to square off in the other contest, but no information was available.
Lawrenceville Parkview Regional
Effingham, Teutopolis and Jasper County will be competing in this Class AA regional Saturday but the opening round game featuring Larwenceville Parkfview and Red Hill (Bridgeport) was to be played Wednesday. No information was available on this game.
