Sullivan Drops St. A, Area Softball Roundup

SULLIVAN -- Sullivan High School took a 4-1 first inning lead and went on to bounce Effingham St. Anthony 14-4 in girls softball competition.
Sullivan had 13 hits in the game led by Stewart with a solo home run, Pratt, two singles, double and two RBI, Boyer a single, triple and an RBI and Ruppert a double and an RBI.
St. Anthony had seven hits led by Jenna Woltman with a single, triple and two RBI and Paige Koester with two singles.

South Central came calling and claimed a 4-1 win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick.
The Cougars held a 1-0 first inning lead and led 3-1 after two. South Central tacked on a final run in the third.
Lee led the winners with three singles while King added two singles. Grzegorck had a double.
BCCH had five hits, all singles by five different players. The Eagles drop to 0-5 in the National Trail Conference, 1-8 overall.
