Charleston Bounces St. Anthony, Neoga Claims First Win

Effingham St. Anthony hosted Charleston in high school softball action and fell to the Trojans, 18-6 in six innings Wednesday.
Charleston stepped out to a 5-1 first inning lead and never looked back with three five-run innings. The Trojans had 13 hits in the contest led by O'Dell with a single, triple, home run and RBI, Barr with a single, double and three RBI, Kennedy with a single and double and Youngblood with a home run and three RBI. All 10 Trojans got hits in the game.
St. Anthony's Woltman had four hits including two singles, a double, home run and two RBI. Niebrugge had a solo home run.

At Neoga
Neoga picked up an 8-3 victory over Ramsey Wednesday.
The Indians took a 2-0 lead in the third inning then had a five-run fourth and a single run in the fifth. Neece was the winning pitcher on a six-hitter with one walk and four strikeouts. Blazich had a single, double and an RBI while Neece and Estay added a double each.
Neoga is now 1-4 on the season.
