TOLEDO -- Effingham St. Anthony High School traveled to Cumberland and fell to the homestanding Pirates 13-0 in five innings because of the 10-run rule Monday.
The Pirates stepped out to a 10-0 opening inning lead and tacked on three more runs in the third. Cumberland had seven hits in the contest and drew eight walks.
St. Anthony had four hits and two walks. No other information was provided.
At Olney
Teutopolis took a 2-0 second inning lead and went on to beat Olney 11-2.
The Wooden Shoes banged out 13 hits in the contest led by Allison Apke with three singles, a home run and two RBI. Kadi Borries had a single, home run and three RBI while Repking and Campbell had two singles each.
Madison Cowman picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts. K. Borries came on to pitch the final inning, allowing one hit and striking out one.
The Shoes are now 5-0 on the season and back in action Wednesday at Mount Zion in a 5 p.m. contest.

St. Elmo/Brownstown scored its only run in the first inning as Okaw Valley picked up a 15-1 win in five innings.
"This was Tessa Philpot's first varsity start as a pitcher and it was definitely a positive one to build on," said SEB Coach Tom Fredrigon. "While she didn't get a win, she threw the ball pretty well and showed some good mental toughness battilng through one tough inning.
"Audriana Pruett hit a booming double plating Kyrstyn Fitch for our only RBI and run. That ball was about three feet short of clearing the fence"
SEB dropped to 0-5.

South Central took a 1-0 lead and held it until the fourth when Vandlaia tallied five runs. The Vandals led 6-1 in the top of the fifth. South Central came back with four runs only to fall short in a 6-5 loss.
Mia Campbell had a double and two RBI for the Cougars while Bailey Ritter had a single, double and an RBI. Sidney Wilkins added a triple.
"This was our first game of the year and the first time we were even able to have an infield practice," said South Central Coach Kapper. "We have not been able to get on a diamond since practice started at the beginning of the year. We made some good plays defenisvely but also had one bad inning with some errors that allowed them to score five runs."
