Altamont edged Stewardson-Strasburg in extra innings in junior high softball action Thursday, 6-5.
Altamont trailed Stew-Stras 3-2 until the fourth then tied the score and took the lead in the fifth. Stew-Stras came back to knot the score at 5-5 in the sixth. Altamont won the game in the top of the eighth.
Brooke Burns had three singles and an RBI for the winners while Kassie Shelton had a single, double and two RBI. Altamont improves to 9-5 on the season, 4-0 in the National Trail Conference.
Becca Schlechte led Stew-Stras with two singles, a double and three RBI.

Teutopolis trailed Salem 2-1 after the first inning and 3-2 after two, but tied the game in the third and took the lead for good in the fifth.
Emma Beckman and Jessica Drees combined to pitch a two-hitter with six strikeouts and three walks. J. Drees had a singlle and triple while Lexis Kaufman had three singles and two RBI.
