STRASBURG -- Shelbyville Moulton picked up a 5-2 victory over Stewardson-Strasburg in junior high softball action Monday.
Moulton took a 2-0 first inning lead and finished with six hits in the game. Becca Schlechte was the tough-luck losing pitcher despite striking out eight.
Stew-Stras drops to 9-1 and returns to action today at St. Anthony.

Mattoon 13, Altamont 3
Host Mattoon downed Altamont 13-3 in six iinnings via the 10-run rule. Mattoon had six hits in the contest and was aided by six Altamont errors.
Altamont had four hits led by Audrey Winters with a triple and Brooke Burns with a single, double and two RBI. Altamont is now 8-2 on the season.
