Effingham St. Anthony dropped a softball game to visiting Sullivan 12-10 Tuesday. The Bullpups gave up 14 walks in the contest.
Katie Kabbes led St. Anthony in the hit department with two triples and four RBI. Jenna Woltman had a home run, drew three walks and had one RBI. Kelly Rentfrow and Marci Mills had two singles each. Mills drove in two runs. Abbie Schmidt had a triple and an RBI.

Effingham 9, Shelbyville 8
Effingham pulled out an exciting victory over Shelbyville Moulton Tuesday evening. Shelbyville held a 5-0 lead after two innings then pulled ahead 7-6 after four.
The Mustangs then tied the score at 7-7 in the bottom of the fifth but Shelbyville pushed ahead 8-7 in the top of the seventh. However, Bria Barr hit a single in the bottom of the seventh and the Mustangs tallied two runs to pull out the victory.
Barr finished with two singles. Jenna Wright led the way with three singles and a double. Brianne Boggs had a single and a triple. Aly Armstrong contributed two singles. Armstrong picked up the pitching victory.

Teutopolis 4, Jasper County 3
Teutopolis almost waited until the last inning before pullilng out a victory over Jasper County.
Jasper County led 2-0 after the second inning and tacked on a third run in the top of the sixth. However, T-town came roaring back with four runs in the bottom of the sixth then held Jasper County scoreless in the seventh to claim the win and improve to 8-2.
Jessica Drees had two singles and an RBI to lead the winners. T-town will be back in action Friday, traveling to Stewardson-Strasburg.

Mulberry Grove 12, Beecher City 2
Mulberry Grove held just a 3-2 lead over Beecher City until the bottom of the fifth, then tallied two runs and bounced Beecher City with seven runs in the sixth to end the contest.
Mulberry Grove had 14 hits in the game and the young Beecher City squad committed five errors. Felicia Johnson and Isabella Doty had two singles each for Beecher City.

Altamont 12, St. Elmo 2
Altamont scored in the first three innings and ended the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule. Altamont was aided by five St. Elmo errors.
Elizabeth Biggs picked up the pitching win going five innings allowing two runs on two hits, five walks and striking out eight.
Altamont had only three hits in scoring the 12 runs. Keidron Duckwitz had a single and an RBI while Kassie Shelton had a single and an RBI and McKenzie Goldstein a single. St. Elmo's Morgan Brown had the only extra base hit of the game with a triple and drove in both runs.
Altamont improves to 5-3 on the season.

Stewardson-Strasburg had a 12-run second inning to end the game and remain undefeated at 7-0. Calla Roney pitched a no-hitter with two walks and five strikeouts.
Stew-Stras had 10 hits while Windsor had five errors. Becca Schlechte had two singles while Megan Schlechte had three singles for the winners.
Stew-Stras is back in action Thursday against St. Elmo.
