Teutopolis hosted Charleston in a girls junior high school softball game Wednesday and fell 3-2. Both teams had four hits in the contest, but T-town had four errors.
Charleston edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then tacked on a third run in the second. T-town attempted a comeback, scoring two runs in the sixth but fell short. Sidney Brumleve was the tough-luck loser going all seven innings, allowing three unearned runs, four hits, three walks and striking out four.
Jessica Drees led T-town with a single, double and an RBI. T-town suffered its first loss and stands at 6-1 overall and 1-1 in the South Central Conference. T-town is back in action today at Shelbyville.
