LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville) hosted Effingham St. Anthony and blanked the Bulldogs 6-0 in high school baseball Monday.
The two teams played through three innings without scoring. The Cardinals tallied two runs in the fourth then tacked on a single run in the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Both teams had five hits each. Bryar Jansen had two singles for the Bulldogs. North Clay was led by Aldrich with a double and two RBI and Byers with three singles and an RBI.

At Bluford
Teutopolis blanked Webber Township (Bluford) 11-0 in six innings. The Wooden Shoes jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead and never looked back.
T-town had 11 hits in the contest led by J. Roepke, L. Niemerg and J. Thoele with two singles each. Niemerg and Thoele had an RBI each.
Niemerg, Smith, Johnson and Koester combined for a one-hitter with six walks and seven strikeouts. Niemerg gave up the lone hit and picked up the victory.
It was the season opener for the Shoes and Webber. T-town is back in action Saturday hosting the Wooden Shoe Bat Tournament. T-town will take on North Clay at 9 a.m.
