Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School blanked Mulberry Grove 9-0 in girls softball competition Monday evening.
Jessica Coffin picked up the pitching win. She also had a single and scored two runs. Sydney Gibson had a single, double and an RBI while Alli Day had two singles and an RBI and Karlee Roepke two singles and two RBI.

Effingham took a 6-0 first inning lead and went on for a 14-1 win in five innings over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.
The Mustangs had seven hits. Logan Borries had two singles and two RBI to lead Effingham. Kaylee Phillips was the winning pitcher on a three-hitter with six strikeouts.
