BEECHER CITY -- Four games were contested but the final two were rained out Saturday in the Beecher City Junior High School Softball Tournament.
Mulberry Grove defeated Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick in the opener. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg then blanked St. Elmo/Brownstown 16-0. St. Elmo/Brownstown won over Mulberry Grove 6-1. Windsor/Stew-Stras defeated Beecher City-Cowden-Herrick.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was winning 2-0 over Mulberry Grove when the game was called due to rain. The St. Elmo/Brownstown vs. BCCH contest was rained out.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis hosted Paris Mayo and Lawrenceville Parkview Saturday. T-town beat Lawrenceville 9-3. T-town tied with Paris Mayo 2-2 and rain and the time limit ended the contest.
T-town is now 4-3-1 on the season.
At Altamont
Four games were contested in the Altamont Opening Day Tournament Saturday before the rains halted the rest of the meet.
St. Anthony defeated Altamont in the opener, 10-4. Jasper County blanked Sullivan 1-0. Jasper County then beat St. Anthony 10-0 and Altamont edged Sullivan 4-3.
In game five, Sullivan led St. Anthony 7-5 before the game was suspended in the bottom of the fourth. St. Anthony had runners on first and third with no outs.
Jasper County was 2-0, Altamont 1-1, St. Anthony 1-1 and Sullivan 0-2.
