Altamont welcomed its Class 1A State Champion Lady Indians home in style Sunday afternoon. Nearly filling the south side of the high school gym, the crowd was treated to several speeches and many humorous moments.

Our Matt Robinson served as emcee for the event, and fielded questions to the girls toward the end of the ceremony.

Coach John Niebrugge spoke at length about his team, getting to the state title scene in only his second year in the program, and more.

Many of the Lady Indians spoke as well, providing some of the most poignant moments of the ceremony, and also setting the tone for the humor that was present throughout the event.

We shot video of the entire ceremony, available below, or at this link.

Matt also spoke with Coach John Niebrugge before the event, video is available below, or at this link.
