City Series Washed Out, One Area Game Played Friday

The 2014 City Series was washed out Friday, leaving St. Anthony the champion with their Game One win Thursday.

One area game was played Friday.

ST. ELMO/BROWNSTOWN 10, MULBERRY GROVE 6

After Mulberry Grove took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, SE/B scored twice in the first and third, once in the fourth and five times in the fifth to post the win.  Mulberry Grove bounced back to take a 6-5 lead in the top of the fifth before SE/B had their big inning in the bottom of the frame to post the win.

Baylee Scholes got the win for the Eagles.  

At the plate for SE/B: Brown-double, two singles, three runs scored, two RBI; D. Austin-two singles, run scored, RBI; Moss-two singles, run scored; Oberlink-double, run scored, two RBI; Calhoun-single, run scored; Scholes-single, run scored, RBI; Pruett-single, run scored, RBI; Fitch-run scored.

St. Elmo/Brownstown is back over .500 at 15-14.
