Benton Hakman Named To All-Area Soccer First Team

Benton Hakman, a senior at Effingham St. Anthony High School was named to the Decatur Herald & Review All-Area Soccer First Team during the weekend.

Hakman set a school record with 19 goals and also had 12 assists as an IHSSCA All-Sectional selection.

Bulldogs’ coach Scott Demers said Hakman provided leadership on and off the field as a team captain.

Earlier in the season, St. Anthony's Anna Sophia Keller was honored by the Decatur Herald & Review as the Girls Area Cross Country Runner of the Year.
