St. Anthony Drops Close Soccer Match to St. Teresa

DECATUR -- Decatur St. Teresa edged Effingham St. Anthony 4-3 in soccer action Wednesday evening.

Benton Hakman scored two goals for St. Anthony while Frank Jansen scored a goal. Chandler Martelli had two assists. St. Anthony's most valuable player was Hakman.

St. Teresa goals came from David Hiawek with two and one PK. Christian Archer and Kevin Nuakor had one goal each.

St. Anthony is now 4-3-3 on the season and returns to action Saturday hosting Centralia Christ Our Rock at 11 a.m. at Bulldog Field.
