In the final match of the regular season, Effingham High School ended on a high note with a 1-0 victory over Mahomet-Seymour Tuesday.

"We defeated the top Apollo Conference team in Mahomet-Seymour," said EHS Coach Logan Arney. "We ended the regular season with a record of 18-2. We never lost a single home game all season, which shows the power of the support we feel from everyone that comes to our games.

"We broke several records this year and it truly was a season to be very proud of.

"Tonight, Maicol Sefton scored a great goal from an assist coming from Sebastian Simoni. Peter Rosenp layed his best game of the season, coming up with an impressive 10 saves leading to his 11th clean sheet on the year."
