Effingham Wins and Teutopolis Tie in Soccer Thursday

Effingham defeated Mt. Vernon 5-0 extending their win streak for the season to a record of 12-0.

The Hearts led 1-0 after the first half. However Effingham picjed up the scoring pace in the 2nd half with 4 goals. 

Maicol Sefton finished with another hat trick scoreing 3 goals and had an assist. Jacob Warner scored his first goal of the season. Rece Kinney: also added a goal.

Jake Niebrugge, Sebastian Simoni, and Connor Delong all had an assist. Peter Rosen also had a save. 

The JV match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Brady Wilson ended the game with 6 strong saves with the only goal came off a penalty kick. 

Rece Kinney scored a goal off an assist from Will Hagerstrom.

 

Teutopolis and Centralia ended in a 1-1 tie.

Noah Thompson had an unbelievable game with16 total saves, putting him at 110 saves this season.

The Lone goal of the match for the Shoes was scored by Landyn Buening. 

Wooden Shoes Soccer has a record of 10-2-1 on the season.

 
In the JV contest it was a victory for the shoes 3-0. Goals were scored by Payne Davidson assisted by Simon Lee, Tucker Dhom and Simon Lee.
