Effingham improved to 4-0 on the season Thursday with an 11-0 win over Vandalia.

For the Hearts:

Maicol Sefton 4 goals

Andrew Wagoner 1 goal

Connor Delong 1 goal, 2 assists

Race Kinney 1 goal

Gage Kinder 1 goal, 1 assist

Sebastian Simoni 1 goal

Jake Niebrugge 1 assist

Peter Rosen 1 save

The contest ended at halftime. Hearts Coach Logan Arney said, "A great game by our varsity team tonight. We played together and played as a team from start to finish, which is shown with having seven different goal scorers and six assists on the 11 goals. Plus, our third clean sheet in four games."

Effingham's JV squad won 4-1 over Vandalia.

For Effingham:

Angel Galindo 1 goal

Danny Angel 1 goal

Brady Wilson 3 saves

It was the first JV game of the season for Effingham.

Next week, Effingham will be playing Mattoon and Mt. Zion.
