EHS Blanks Vandalia In Soccer

Effingham High School pushed its soccer record to 4-0 on the season by blanking Vandalia, 9-0 in Thursday action.

"It was another great team win," said EHS Coach Logan Arney. "Several people were involvted with the scoring."

Maicol Sefton, a sophomore, scored three goals to lead the way for the Hearts. Camilo Aden, also a sophomore, scored two goals and had two assists. Edu Crespo, a junior, tallied two goals and an assist.

Garnering one goal and one assist each were freshman Gage Kinder and sophomore Sebastian Simoni. Sam Spicer had an assist.

Xander Marler and Brady Wilson had one save each.

The Hearts aren't back in action until Tuesday, playing host to Mattoon.
