Teutopolis Comes Home With Soccer Wins, Altamont Ties

GREENVILLE -- Teutopolis High School came home with both varsity and junior varsity soccer victories Monday.

 

The varsity squad blanked Greenville, 2-0 with goals by Josh Habing and Gavin Tegeler.

The Wooden Shoes improved to 14-1-2 on the season.

The junior varsity squad won 6-1 with two goals by Cooper Tegeler and Isasac McWhorter and single goals by Martin Habing and Joey Probst. JV goals were assisted by Tyler Peterson, Gavin Buening, Probst and Paul Huber.

The varsity and junior varsity squads are back in action hosting Olney for Senior Night today.

"We will honor our three seniors, Ethan Mette, Nolan Runde and Gus Siemer between the junior varsity and varsity games," said Coach Aaron Wendt. "The junior varsity game has a 4:30 p.m. start with the varsity game at 6:15 p.m. Senior introductions will be around 5:45."

 

At Altamont

Altamont and visiting Centralia played to a 1-1 tie Monday.

Altamont tallied a goal in the first half as Javian Schlanser scored. Jack Lowry had an assist.

Centralia tied it in the second half.

Altamont goalkeeper Adam Wolff had 11 saves.
