The defeat drops the Shoes' record to 13-1-2.
T-town's Saturday contest against Breese Mater Dei has been canceled due to a referee shortage. The Shoes will return to action Monday when they travel to Greenville.
At Effingham
Mattoon came calling and blanked Effingham by a 9-0 count Tuesday.
Junior Xander Marler had 10 saves for the Hearts.
At Altamont
Salem tallied a 2-1 victory over Altamont in action Tuesday.
The Wildcats took a 1-0 first half lead. Altamont's Josh Overton scored 10 minutes into the second half to knot the score at 1-1.
Salem then scored with two minutes left to pull out the victory.
Javian Schlanser had two shots for Altamont while, Devin Sloan, Jack Lowry and Hayden Summers had one shot each. Goalkeeper Adam Wolf had four saves.
