Altamont Picks Up Pair of Wins Over Weekend

The Altamont/Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick/Mid-America Prep Co-op squad picked up a pair of wins Friday and Saturday.

The Altamont Co-op defeated Carlyle 6-0 on Friday. For Altamont, in the first half, Noah Klimpel scored twice on assists from Jack Lowery, and Lowery scored a goal. In the second half, Lowery scored on an assist from Garrett Schultz, while Noah Klimpel and Martin Cook each scored, capping a hat trick for Klimpel. Connor Klitzing had 18 saves in goal.

On Saturday, the Altamont Co-op shutout Effingham 5-0. For Altamont, in the first half, Noah Klimpel scored off an assist from Jack Lowery, Martin Cook scored off an assist from Klimpel, a team goal was scored, and Javier Schlanser scored off an assist from Jack Lowery. In the second half, Klimpel scored off an assist from Bryce Suckow. Altamont had 46 shots to 28 shots by Effingham, and Connor Klitzing had six saves in goal.
