St. Anthony played host to the Knights of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and captured a 3-0 soccer victory Tuesday.

"Today was a true showing of fall weather, perfect temps, and perfect breeze, just an all-around great day for soccer," said St. Anthony Coach Eric Morales. "We came out to find ourselves a little on the slow side, as the Knights came out with pressure right out the gate. Roughly five minutes in, we finally put something together as Andy Saba found Ryan Kruger for a beautiful head ball beating the keeper and putting us up 1-0. Much of the rest of the first half both teams went back and forth, trading some wow moments.

"With seven minutes left in the half, Alex Deters, on a throw in, found Moises Lemus for a goal putting us up 2-0. As the half came to an end we took one last run on goal. With 29 seconds left in the game, Kruger dribbled the ball down the right side and crossed it in to find Alex Deters to put us up 3-0 and the half came to an end.

"The second half was a lot of both teams struggling to possess the ball at first. We had a total of nine shots on goal to ALAH's three.  ALAH had some good nice looks on goal as we did."

St. Anthony moves to 14-0-3 on the season and plays next Monday against Harrisburg.
