Altamont, T-town Drop Soccer Matches

ALTAMONT -- Trenton Wesclin High School came calling at Altamont and handed the Indians a 3-1 loss in soccer competition Monday.

Trenton opened with a goal at the 31:31 mark in the first half. Altamont's Jesus Flores scored at 35:35 in the second half to knot the score at 1-1. But Wesclin tallied back-to-back goals at 10:38 and 7:44 to pull out the victory.

Altamont had 15 shots, six on goal. Sam Childerson had five saves. Trenton Wesclin had 12 shots, eight on goal and five saves.

The Indians drop to 6-3-1 on the season.

At Teutopolis

Mattoon blanked Teutopolis 3-0 in soccer competition Monday.

Tanner Miller scored two goals for the Green Wave while Cole Kidwell had a goal. Assists were from Jake Ghere, Greg Thorne and Miller. Mattoon's goalie had four saves.

The Green Wave are now 6-0-1 on the season.
