St. A, T-town Got Scholastic Bowl Seasons Underway

St. Anthony and Teutopolis Junior High Schools got their Scholastic Bowl season underway with a dual match held at St. Anthony on Tuesday.

The eighth-grade teams split with St. Anthony winning one game with 290 points to T-town’s 155. The other game went to Teutopolis with a 185-150 victory over St. Anthony.

Leading individual scorers for St. Anthony were Maryann Saba with 100 tossup points and John Hartke with 60.

The seventh-grade games, though close, both went to Teutopolis. Game one saw T-town defeat St. Anthony with a score of 150-135. Teutopolis won game two with a score of 165-150. Leading individual scorers for St. Anthony’s seventh grade team were Aidan Steineman and Alex Erickson with 50 tossup points each.
