Blackhawks Top Wings In Preseason Skate

(Detroit, MI) -- Byron Froese scored twice to lead the Blackhawks in a 4-3 win over the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Joakim Nordstrom and Garret Ross also scored while Corey Crawford made 30 saves in the win. Chicago is now 3-0-1 in preseason action. The 'Hawks play the Penguins in Pittsburgh tonight.


Blues Top Stars In OT

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blues remain undefeated in the NHL preseason after 3-2 overtime win over the Stars at the Scottrade Center Saturday. Patrik Berglund scored the winning goal on a power play in overtime. The Blues are at Minnesota Wednesday in their second-to-last preseason game.

"The St. Louis Post Dispatch" reports that the Blues have spoken with veteran forward Brenden Morrow about signing with the team. Morrow was with Pittsburgh last season. He is considering offers from other teams as well.
