Leading were Casey Leonard and Travis Seekman with 31 points each while Avenatti sat third with 21.
But he made quick work of those 10 points by winning the first three races on Tuesday's card.
Avenatti sat behind Truly A Winner in the Big 10 2-Year-Old Filly Pace. Truly A Winner grabbed the early lead, showing the way to the field of five. Truly A Winner opened up a four length lead and ended up winning by a dozen lengths in 2:03. Kevin Miller and Bart Seales of Altamont owns Truly A Winner.
Avenatti came right back in the second race behind He'sadarkshark. The two-year-old was the first out in the Big 10 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace and opened up a five length lead. He'sadarkshark ended up winning by eight lengths in 2:06.4. He'sadarkshark won in Monday's heat of the Jeffers Memorial by 15 lengths.
In the span of two races, Avenatti was tied for the driver's lead with his back-to-back wins.
Then in the third race, the Big 10 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace, Second Division, Avenatti moved ahead. Driving Matt's Session, he took the early lead by a length over Bold Victor. The field was lined up behind the two leaders at the halfway point. Matt's Session then decided it was time to say goodbye and took a 12 length lead at the turn and won in 2:05.3.
That put Wyatt Avenatti ahead of Leonard and Seekman by five points.
Then it was time for a lady to take over the victory circle. Darla Martin Lohman of Effingham took Trixies Sugar Baby out to the early lead in the Big 10 2-Year-Old Filly Trot. Classy Little Lady came to the outside, going for the lead but made an awkward move and lost a couple of lengths. Classy Little Lady again came on but Trixies Sugar Baby claimed the victory in 2:09 3/5.
Martin Lohman picked up her first win of the day on the track where she trains.
In the fifth race, the Big 10 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot, Dennis Gardner, who owned Sutton Chilly and Call Me Maevey, had his two trotters finish one-two.
Sutton Chilly went to the lead with Call Me Maevey in second. Clay Simpson had Sutton Chilly ahead by three lengths and ended up with the victory in 2:09 2/5 ahead of Gardner behind Call Me Maevey.
The fastest race of the day came in the Non-winners $7,500 Lifetime Pace and the final race of the day.
Rockin Kaphone, with 17-year-old Demarius Wakefield driving, took the early lead. Silencethewitness moved alongside off the final turn but Rockin Kaphone stayed in control and ended up winning by the fastest mile of the day in 1:59 2/5.
