EHS Wrestlers Compete In Regionals

ROBINSON -- Effingham High School wrestlers competed in the Robnson Individual Regionals Saturday but did not advance.

Baker Moon, Jeremiah Lorton and Trenton Patterson all finished in fourth place in their respective weight classes.

Moon, in the 138 pound class, won 9-0 over Tuff Toyer of Olney then lost in the next round 10-2. He then pinned Cole Littlejohn of Olney in 1:18 but lost in the next round, 12-3 to finish fourth.

Lorton, competing at 215 pounds, won with a pin in 2:39 over Bleighten Irelan of Westville. He fell in the next round to a pin in 2:52. He then won over Lukas Madlem of Mount Carmel with a pin in :39. He fell out of futher competition with a loss to Ethan Curl of Paris with a pin in 1:54.

Patterson won his opening round at 285 pounds with a pin in 2:24 over Kendall Newell of Westville. He lost the next round with a pin in 7:13. He won over Jase Adkison of Paris with a pin in :52 but fell out of further competition with a 1-0 loss.
