Youth Quail, Pheasant Hunt Oct. 21

For those of you, ages 10-16 wanting to experience quail and pheasant hunting, Dan Hecht is having a Youth Bird Hunt Saturday, October 21.

The location is at the farm near Iola about 20 minutes south of Effingham from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be clay pigeons for warm-up, practice and instruction. There will be fields for first timers, as well as fields for the experienced.

There will be a raffle to win a gun. To help conservation efforts, there will be memberships for Quail Forever available.

Be sure to get a regular hunting license or an apprentice hunting license. A gun safety course would be beneficial for safety.
