EHS' Baker Moon Advances To Wrestling Sectionals

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Only one Effingham High School wrestler advanced to sectionals after competing in 1A wrestling regional action at Lawrenceville Saturday.

Baker Moon, competing in the 132 pound division, picked up a victory over Phillips of Fairfield with a pin in 3:51. He then fell to Chambliss of Oakwood with a pin in 2:45 before taking back-to-back wins for third. He downed Hyre of Lawenceville with a pin in 1:29 and took a 19-6 decision over Dukeman of Cumberland.

Moon will advance to the Carterville Sectional Friday.
