Four EHS Wrestlers Medal at Eastern Illinois Tournament

OLNEY -- Effingham High School had four wrestlers earn medals at the Eastern Illinois Tournament Saturday.

Baker Moon captured third place at 132 pounds to earn a medal. He had a win in 1:54, then fell 22-10 before earning third with a pin in 1:13.

Taking fourth place for a medal at 120 pounds was Kaiden Stewart. Stewart won with a pin in :58 before dropping his next two matches.

Saul Ellis finished fifth at 145 pounds for a medal. He defeated a Mount Carmel wrestler with a pin in 3:45. He fell in the next round before taking a pin in :42, a pin in :52 and  pin in 1:28 for fifth place.

Trenton Patterson finished fifth at 285 pounds. He took a victory with a pin in 2:10 before losing a match. He then claimed three straight matches with a pin in 2:29, a pin in 2:55 and a pin in 3:21.
