SPRINGFIELD -- Kyle Husted of Altamont and his wife, Amy, teamed as driver and trainer, respectively for a second victory on Friday’s harness racing program at the Illinois State Fair, as Niko Man won an elimination of the Illinois State Fair Colt Stakes Two-Year-Old Colt And Gelding Trot in 1:55.

Earlier in the day, the Husteds had captured an elimination of the two-year-old filly trot with Fox Valley Candor. Winning for the first time in her career, Fox Valley Candor trotted the mile in 1:58.4 and made a late rally down the stretch for the victory.

Both horses now advance to next Thursday’s (August 18) Illinois State Fair championships.
