Eastern Illinois University Athletic Director Tom Michael was among a number of EIU coaches and officials in Effingham Tuesday evening for a reception at Koerner Distributor.

Michael was a state champion basketball player at Carlyle before going onto a highly successful career at Illinois. He is in his eighth year at EIU.
