Suni Lee, who won the women’s gymnastics all-around gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics last summer, told ESPN she’s suffered from anxiety and “imposter syndrome” since.

Lee, who currently competes for Auburn University, said, “I feel like after the Olympics, there’s just been so much doubt in like, ‘Oh, she shouldn’t have won Olympics, blah, blah, blah,’ and it really hits my soul.”

Lee said those feelings, as well as feeling enormous pressure to perform well, almost caused her to skip Auburn competitions as she began having panic attacks before meets. But Lee has been doing well, including getting two perfect 10s.
