Bruins Cruise Past Leafs For 1-0 Series Lead

(Boston, MA) -- David Krejci tallied a goal and two assists as the Bruins cruised past the Maple Leafs 4-1 in Game One of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series. Wade Redden added a goal and a helper, while Nathan Horton and Johnny Boychuk also lit the lamp for the B's, who are playing the Leafs in the playoffs for the first time since 1974. Bruins head coach Claude Julien says they have to be ready for Game Two.

The Bruins, Penguins and Sharks each won their opening postseason game to take a 1-0 series lead in their respective best-of-seven matchups. Pittsburgh won at home against the New York Islanders, 5-0. The Sharks scored twice in the final period to drop the Canucks, 3-1.
