Brad Marchand scored his fifth career hat trick Wednesday night in the Boston Bruins’ 5-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

He scored twice 15 seconds apart in the first period and then had a short-handed goal in the second.

The teams were originally supposed to play in Montreal Wednesday night and Boston on March 12, but the Bruins home game was moved to Wednesday night, in hopes Canada’s Covid capacity restrictions will ease by March.
