Kenyan runners swept the Boston Marathon Monday for the eighth time since 2000.

Benson Kipruto was the winning man in two hours, nine minutes and 51 seconds, and Diana Kipyogel finished first among the women at two hours, 24 minutes and 45 seconds

The race was held in October instead of its usual April Patriots Day date for the first time ever because of a pandemic delay. It was the first race since 2019, since it wasn’t run last year, also due to the pandemic.
