DU QUOIN, IL – After a 2020 motorsports calendar was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fairgoers and race fans alike are excited to get back to the beautiful Southern Illinois Magic Mile on the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds for the traditional Labor Day weekend of auto racing.

On Saturday September 4, the big cars of the USAC Silver Crown Series return for the Ted Horn 100 along with heat races for the DIRT car Modifieds.  On Sunday night, September 5 the ARCA Menards Series comes to Du Quoin for the Southern Illinois 100 presented by Lucas Oil, along with the 20-mile main for the Modifieds.

“Racing on the final weekend of the fair has been a long-standing tradition,” said Du Quoin State Fair Manager, Josh Gross. “To have the sound of those engines blaring around the fairgrounds is a great way to wrap up the 11-day event.”

The Ted Horn 100 will take the green at 8:15pm Saturday night, while ARCA’s Menards 100 gets underway Sunday at 8:05pm.

Pursuant to CDC and IDPH guidance, all race spectators in the Grandstand must wear a mask. Masks will be provided at the grandstand upon entrance as well as in other locations throughout the fairgrounds and must be worn over the nose and mouth indoors and for the duration of all grandstand performances.

Tickets will be available on race day or by calling the Du Quoin Fair office at 618-542-1535. Info and tickets can also be obtained by calling the Track Enterprises office at 217-764-3200.
