Carson Cole Headed To Play Softball

Carson Cole, a Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School graduate, who competed on the Lake Land College softball team, will move on to a four-year college.

Cole will play Division I softball for Eastern Illinois University, The former WSS player hit .369 for the Lakers last season. She competed on the Windsor/Stew-Stras team that won the Class 1A State championship in 2017.

Other members of the Lake Land team headed to EIU are Rachel Kaufman and Marama  Makea. The Lakers finished 52-10 last season and won the Great Rivers Athletic Conference.

Other Lakers headed on to four-year colleges included Dee Campbell, a former Charleston player, who will compete for Concordia University-Ann Arbor, Kyrsten Darrough who is going to the University of Alabama Birmingtham,Harley Mason who will play for Taylor University and Taylor Warne who will be at Fort Wayne, Indiana playing for Purdue University.
