Serena Williams Won't Play At Olympics

Serena Wililams said Sunday that she won’t be playing at the Tokyo Olympics next month.

Speaking to reporters at her pre-Wimbledon video conference, Williams said, “There’s a lot of reasons that I made my Olympic decision. . . . I don’t feel like going into them today.”

Williams won gold in singles at the 2012 Olympics, and in doubles with sister Venus Williams in 2000, 2008 and 2012. Williams lost in the third round in the 2016 Olympics, and in the first round of doubles.
