The New York Islanders eliminated the Boston Bruins with a 6-2 victory Wednesday night to win their second-round NHL playoffs match-up 4 games to 2.

Brock Nelson scored twice in the second period for New York, when the Islanders got three of their six goals. New York will play the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning in the next round.
