Area Athletes Take Part In Illinois State H.S. Clay Target League State Tourney

Finishing first overall as a team was Calhoun with 494 points followed in the top five by Highland 488, Mount Pulaski 483, Bunker Hill 478 and Greenfield 477.

Teutopolis took 10th with 462 while Cumberland was 12th with 458, Dieterich 14th with 454, Effingham 16th with 450, Altamont 17th with 449, Stew-Stras 22nd with 427 and Newton 23rd with 416. There were 28 teams competing.

Cumberland's Lance McElravy captured first in the High Gun, Novice Male division with a 92 total score. Newton's Jaxson Wilson was fifth with a 77.

Elle Hoene of Teutopolis was fifth in the HIgh Gun Novice Female division with a 69.

Cumberland's Lucas Smith took fourth in the High Gun Junior Varsity Male division with a 91 while Kindyl Ingle took second in the HIgh Gun Junior Varsity Female division with a 90. Newton's Morgan Buerster was fifth with a 76.

In the HIgh Gun Varsity Male, the highest spot was a sixth place finish by T-town's Kolton Tedrick with a 99. In the HIgh Gun Varsity Female division, Stewardson-Strasburg's Aubree Antrim finished fifth with a 93.
