The NHL suspended the Winnipeg Jets’ Mark Scheifele for four games Thursday for a hit on the Montreal Canadiens’ Jake Evans the night before with 57 seconds left in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.

Evans was removed on a stretcher after the hit that sent him crashing to the ice just after making an empty-net goal in Montreal’s 5-3 win. Evans suffered a concussion and is out indefinitely.
